Giving Back

Grounded and Growing Earth Healing and Wellness donates 10% of all profits to Safe in Austin, Of the Earth Healing, NAMI, and Clubhouse International. It is our mission to promote healing from trauma and mental health disorders of all kinds, and these four organizations are non-profits who provide needed services while also helping people find friends who understand them. We want everyone living with mental health concerns to know they are amazing and capable of living the life they dream of, right now. Everyone deserves to have the support they need to live their lives. Thank you for helping us support these organizations. We literally couldn't do this without you.

Safe in Austin rescues animals that have experienced abuse and neglect. They rehabilitate all the animals, and find homes for those who are appropriate to rehome. For all the other animals, Safe in Austin becomes their permanent home. The founder of Safe in Austin, Jamie Wallace-Griner, has a son with Autism and knows first hand through her experience watching him work with their dog Angel how much rescue animals can help other people who are differently-abled, who have mental health disorders, and who have experienced abuse. Safe in Austin works with many organizations in the area to bring in teenagers who are having a hard time for many reasons (they are in the foster system, they have experienced abuse and neglect, they have developmental or physical disorders, etc) and these teens get to help care for these rescued animals, learn new skills, and heal themselves while they help the animals heal. Of the Earth Institute of Indigenous Cultures and Teachings works with its students to help them provide much needed plant medicine to communities in Texas and Mexico. The founder, Lipan Apache Medicine Woman Maestra Marika Alvarado, has been an important link between indigenous and Latino communities and the Western medical communities. She is often asked to teach classes to medical students about plant medicine and Native Indian medicine practices, and she teaches her students how to take care of their communities with healthy food recipes, plant medicine, and spiritual practices.
