American author Ann Hood understands what I have also learned. Through my own struggles with anxiety and my time working in psychiatric hospitals, I have found that hugs are needed things. The truth of this becomes all the more apparent when we cannot be with the people we want to hug, because of distance, or because of a hospitalization. In-person hugs are always the best, but the Sending You a Hug ring was designed for those of us who are physically separated from our people. We send this ring to them to remind them that they are due for a giant hug, that we love them, and that they are not forgotten. It is a small reminder of our love for each other, even when we are apart. And sometimes, we get this ring for ourselves, to remind us that we are loved by lots of people, and we should remember to love ourselves too. Either way, the Sending You a Hug ring is meant to encourage people, whoever and wherever you are.

Shipping & Handling

The Sending You a Hug ring is genuine sterling silver, and it is adjustable, so its one size will fit most. It ships from Austin, Texas within three business days after you order, usually next business day, excluding Sundays and Holidays. If you are in the US, you should receive your ring within 2-5 business days after processing.

The basic package will arrive in a velvet pouch with a polishing cloth. An upgraded package will arrive in an LED lit ring box with a polishing cloth. For the upgraded package, the box and cloth will both be inside an organza bag. Both packages come with a card (image of card is included with product images). Whichever package you choose, whether this ring is for yourself or a gift, your ring will arrive to you beautifully packaged.

Even though this ring is genuine sterling silver, it is not recommended to be worn in water, in saunas, pools, baths, showers, or during exercising. Avoid wearing during exercise, as sweat will react with the jewelry to produce silver chloride and copper sulfide, which causes the jewelry to deteriorate and corrode over time. We recommend you do not allow lotions and oils to come in contact with your ring. Again, it is genuine silver, but best practice for silver jewelry is to keep it out of water and away from chemicals.

Best practice for adjustable jewelry is to adjust it once to the size needed for your finger, and then to not adjust it again. Sterling silver jewelry that is bent over and over will wear down and may break. Please only adjust your ring once so that you will not compromise the integrity of the metal. Thank you.
